This machine has been used several times during the past few weeks since its arrival, and our granddaughter loves the sno cones. She is 6-years-old, and even she can use it with no problem. My wife was unable to use the manual machine that we had previously gotten, and this one works great. We did discover that the ice molds that came with it must be used, as regular cubes seem to be a bit more difficult to grind and takes a little longer.

My kids love Shave Ice, but the only time they get to eat it is when the get to go to a Polynesian festival or actually go to Hawaii. This is a great little machine that makes fluffy shave ice at a very reasonable price. The machine is a bit noisy, but the kids don't seem to mind. I would highly recommend this little machine to anyone who has kids who love shave ice. For those of you from the Islands, this is not like the shave ice you remember, but it is a fun little machine to have at home.

I like that this works with both regular ice cubes and the round ice blocks made with the two cups that are included (the round ice blocks do work better). Would be a little time consuming to make more than one or two snow cones.

I bought this because of the price. I figured if it didn't work for long atleast I wasn't out a ton of $. It's done a great job so far, and I've run it pretty hard. I found that you can use the Chinese take out soup containers for the molds. They work great, especially if you have a party and need alot of ice. If you want to see if Shaved Ice is for you, this would be a good product to buy.
